PREVIEW: Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion 2019
Welcome back to the annual preview for the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion held on September 20th, 21st, and 22nd 2019! It appears we’re going to have another year with temperatures hotter than hell and even less parking, but thank God for cold beer and water!
The 2019 festival is definitely the weekend for the undercards on the lineup— not taking away from the main headliners, but they stacked the lineup with the great talent of established, rising, and developing artists. Since last year’s list was so well received, our staff put even more hours into listening and researching this year’s artists for our Spotify playlists and our staff’s top 15 must-see list.
We were ecstatic to see Ruston Kelly on this year’s lineup, alongside Dillon Carmichael, who will appeal to fans of Jamey Johnson and Chris Stapleton. Of course, we are always excited to see Beth Snapp and Ray Wylie Hubbard returning to the festival. Beth’s music is like the comfort food of Folk/Americana music and Ray Wylie will get you singing and tappin’ your boots— can’t go wrong either way.
Anyways- enough rambling from us— you’ll have to go out there and give these artists a listen yourself! We’re off to enjoy some Lincoln Road cold brew and Southern Craft’s legendary bbq tater-tots, to try some fried green tamater pakoras from the Pakalachian and to pay a visit to our neighbors at the Angry Italian! [One bite, everyone knows the rules.]
Until next year, be sure to check out our latest album release from Mark Webb Jr, ‘Smoke Wine Banter,’ and join our mailing list to stay tuned for upcoming releases from Gold Ship artists, new merch and news!
