Isaiah Breedlove Joins the Gold Ship Family
Isaiah Breedlove is an American singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from rural Western North Carolina.
His adolescent years were spent in a home where music was paramount. His mother and father performed in area churches and potlucks. A typical evening in the Breedlove household would likely include evening rehearsals of old spirituals and rock classics alike.
He was gifted his first guitar, a pawn shop special, at age fourteen and quickly became obsessed with the music of Doc Watson.
After spending his teens and early twenties touring in various bluegrass ensembles, electronica and punk rock projects, even spending time as a drummer in an alt-rock unit, he has come home with a renewed writing passion to the music of his youth, of his family, and the rugged mountains of Appalachia that he still calls home.
